Understanding lifecycle hooks

Take a look at this diagram. This shows what happens to a Vue instance over its lifecycle.

Not long after we create a new instance of Vue, reactivity and data observation is set up. Further down, templates are compiled. Even further down, the template is mounted to the DOM.
